What are
solar guards?
-
Solar panel guards (often called critter guards) are physical wire mesh or metal barriers that wrap around the outer edges of your solar array. They block animals and debris from getting under the panels while still letting air flow through to keep the system cool.
-
Because solar guards keep birds from nesting and leaves from entering, they drastically decrease the chances of fire or electrical damage. Furthermore, If these leaves stay during rainy season, mold and algae can form under the panels due to moisture entrapment. Moisture and electricity certainly do not mix.
Without birds being able to nest, you decrease the chances of attracting harmful diseases from these pests.

EXPLAINS THE DANGERS OF PIGEONS
UNDER SOLAR PANELS
about 49%
of pigeons carry infectious diseases
According to british pest control assosciation
Assuming that 49% of pigeons carry diseases, allowing pigeons to nest around or underneath solar panels presents a significant health and maintenance concern. Their droppings, feathers, and nesting materials can accumulate beneath the panels, increasing the potential for exposure to harmful bacteria, fungi, or parasites. Without solar guards installed, pigeons can easily access the space beneath the panels, where they may damage wiring, block airflow, and create costly maintenance issues. Installing solar guards helps prevent birds from nesting under solar panels, reducing health risks, protecting the solar system from damage, and helping ensure the panels continue to operate efficiently.

No. We use a non-invasive installation method that doesn't require drilling into your solar panels or roof. The guards are securely attached using specialized clips designed for solar panel frames.
-
Our guards are made from durable, weather-resistant materials designed to withstand sun, rain, wind, and changing temperatures for many years with little to no maintenance.
We offer a free 5 year warranty. Any damage to the guards during this time, we come back and repair them for free.
-
The reality is, most people have no idea if birds or other animals are nesting under their panels. Installing guards before birds or debris become an issue is often the smartest option. Preventing nests and buildup is typically much easier and less expensive than cleaning out panels after a problem develops.
